Zubair Ghias: Career Investment Professional

Zubair Ghias first made his entry into the professional investment community over 16 years ago, signing up for and completing an internship with Merrill Lynch & Co, Inc. between June and October of 1998. During the internship with Merrill Lynch, Zubair Ghias was responsible for assisting the firm’s Private Client Group, receiving valuable experience by creating spreadsheets and databases for daily trades and better record keeping.

Shortly after completing his internship with Merrill Lynch, he moved on to Salomon Smith Barney, serving as a company intern from October of 1998 to May of 1999. As a Salomon Smith Barney intern, Zubair Ghias assisted the Retail Brokerage Division, organizing company presentation materials and creating a spreadsheet to calculate investors’ stake in equity.

Zubair Ghias then served Goldman, Sachs & Co as a summer analyst, working for the firm from June of 1999 to September of 1999. As a Goldman Sachs Summer Analyst, he worked in the Futures Services division, designing spreadsheets, updating databases and performing procedural interviews for the company’s Event Management Committee in regards to the Y2K Contingency Planning Project.

Zubair Ghias than became a full-time associate with JP Morgan Securities, Inc., working in the Mergers & Acquisitions division for over five years, and becoming an integral part of many key, high-dollar client acquisitions. As a JP Morgan Associate, he was awarded the top-ranking bonus during each year of employment. Zubair Ghias served the company with distinction, and was promoted from an analyst position to a post-MBA analyst position very early in his employment tenure.
